At the local Roman Catholic parish in the small town that I live in, the main event on this Easter morning was a bunch of little girls and boys dressed in angel-wings dancing up and down the aisles to rap music, with the whole congregation clapping along. It was so appreciated that the congregation began to yell for an encore. Which was done.
Although I have been told that the liturgy is improving in the Roman Catholic church, I simply do not see it happening. If liturgy represent the faith, what do children dancing to rap during the offertory mean theologically?
