After posting last Friday that the news concerning Pope Francis receiving–and wearing–the controversial St. George Ribbon from a Russian government official may have been fabricated, it appears that is not the case. A piece by Oles Horodetskyy for Radio Svoboda confirms that the story, and accompanying photographs, are legitimate and raise many sorrowful questions for Ukrainian Greek Catholics who have long hoped that the Pope would do more to quell ongoing hostilities in Ukraine.

Nothing that this man does now will ever surprise me. He condemns a pro-life candidate as not being a Christian for wanting to protect his country, whilst he himself lives behind a very, very high wall, and turns around and openly welcomes the most pro-abortionist presidential candidate in American history, who has actually attacked Hillary as not be sufficiently pro-choice, personally to the Vatican.

That linked article is marvelous, assuming google is even remotely accurate. Deep down inside, Svoboda’s probably most upset at the reminder that the Nazis lost.
